Seeks probe into NC President’s presence alongside Pandey

Srinagar, Nov 20: After former governor (Retd) Lt Gen S K Sinha, National Conference president and ex-union minister, Omar Abdullah has come under scanner for his ‘relations’ with Malegaon blast accused Dayanand Pandey.
Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former finance minister, Tariq Hamid Karra Thursday released the pictures of Malegaon blast accused Dayanand Pandey attending National Conference president, Omar Abdullah’s function in Haridwar.
“On one hand Farooq Abdullah demands probe against Pandey’s involvement in Malegaon Samjauta blasts while on other side his son, Omar Abdullah can be seen with Pandey in the photographs,” Karra told media persons while releasing the pictures.
He accused NC of playing a dubious policy. “Omar Abdullah, NC, RSS have internal connections with Pandey. After feeling that something fishy was going on, PDP informed New Delhi about the nexus between Sinha, Abdullahs and Pandey.”
“We demanded probe into the matter but no heed was paid towards it,” he said.
Karra accused Abdullah of having links with Hindu terrorists.
He claimed that Pandey visited Kashmir in 2002. “He again visited secretly in 2007 and met Sinha in temples”.
Terming Pandey as a ‘Hindu terrorist’ involved in Samjauta and Malegaon blasts, Karra said, “We want to know what Omar had to do with Pandey.”
“What was Omar doing with Pandey in these pictures. Had he went to seek Pandey’s blessings at Shardha Matth in Haridwar,” Karra questioned.
While accusing NC of playing ‘anti-Kashmiri’ role and ‘deception’ towards Kashmiris, Qarra said, “In May 2008 Omar in his blog said that exodus of Pandits from the Valley was due to Muslims. He said that Kashmiri Muslims used mosques and microphones for the purpose. In the same blog he claimed that nobody in Kashmir tried to stop the exodus of Pandits”.
Quoting a newspaper from Maharashtra, Karra said, “After scanning laptop seized from Pandey, his pictures with Kashmiri girls were found. Omar is having some connections with the guy and these need to be trace out”.
He called on people to punish Omar for his relations with Pandey.
Karra also accused NC of exploiting Lashkar-e-Toiba’s name to gain votes.
“NC activists are using the same slogans, which were used by people during the agitation over the land transfer row,” Karra told media persons
He said: “Slogans like ‘Qazi teri maut aayi, Lashkar aayi, Lashkar aayi’ are now being used by NC activists. The uniform-clad NC activists are raising these slogans in Ganderbal.”
He said this type of sloganeering is violation of model code of conduct that has come into force in Jammu and Kashmir after the announcing of election schedule by Election Commission of India (ECI).
Vowing to bring the matter to the notice of ECI, Karra said, “If PSA can be slapped on those people who raised such slogans against New Delhi, why can’t the same action be initiated against NC activists”.
“We want ECI to probe into the matter and take action against NC,” he added.

- Indians would not have heard about political leader referring to “pope", “Imam", “Kaji" or any other religious person as"Retzinger fellow", “Sahi fellow", “Mohammed fellow" and so on!
- Therefore, it is evident that the mohammedans like Omar Abdullah, in spite of their educational, elite and refined status, they have scant regard for Hindu religious heads.
How they are at liberty to disparage Hindus like that!
Who has given such liberty all of sudden?

Srinagar, November 21: Coming down heavily on the National Conference President Omar Abdullah for his alleged links with the Malegaon blast accused Swami Dayanand Pandey, President, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Friday also lambasted former Chief Minister and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for uttering ‘Nationalist’ remarks for former state governor S K Sinha.
“I want high level investigations to be carried out whether there is a nexus between Hindu terrorist Dayanand Pandey and the politicians,’ Mehbooba said , while addressing a news conference at her Gupkar residence on Friday.
“It’s a very serious issue and I know Omar is very influential and can get himself acquitted from this case easily. We are ready to face the legal action as threatened by Omar, but before that we want to know his relation with Pandey,” she added
On Thursday, Omar while addressing a news conference had sought probe for the allegations levelled by PDP leader Tariq Hammed Karra.
“I am ready to face any kind of probe, including Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or Parliamentary Committee investigations .I will bid farewell to politics and never appear before the people of Kashmir, in case the allegations are proved,” Omar had said.
PDP president alleged that there seems to be a clear nexus between the National Conference and the communal elements as many communal leaders were campaigning for NC to garner Hindu votes.
“I think there is a deep nexus. NC is using Panday’s supporters to gain Hindu votes in Jammu. We want it to be investigated,” Mehbooba said.
“Omar was a part of the NDA government in which he supported the POTA law. If sitting with a terrorist like Panday is not crime how Omar can justify the detention of relatives of militants in Kashmir under POTA.” She added
Launching a scathing attack at the former Chief Minister and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for his ‘Nationalist’ remarks for former Governor S K Sinha, PDP President alleged that Sinha maintained a communal stand throughout his tenure as governor of the state.
“Azad sahib termed SK Sinha as Nationalist yesterday. Sinha is the same person who gave full protocol to Dayanand Pandey when he was in valley,” she said, adding “I want to know whether it is the stand of Azad or the Congress party,”
Ruling out any post-poll alliance with the Congress party, PDP President said that her party will form the next government in the state by winning majority seats in the ongoing assembly elections.
“We have bitter experience of having an alliance. So it is better to stay away from the alliance. I hope we will achieve success in forming the government of our own,” She said.

BANGALORE: Several hours after the completion of narco analysis test in Bangalore on Friday, ‘godman’ Dayanand Pandey had still not left Bowring Hospital, following a request by him.
Pandey is learnt to have requested the Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials and Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) doctors to retain him in the hospital as he did not wish to face the media.
However, according to rumours, Pandey was harassed while the narco test was being conducted, following which he was in need of medical attention.
But reliable sources from FSL confirmed to Express that it was only due to Pandey’s request that his discharge from the hospital was delayed.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh, Purohith and other blast accused, who underwent police interrogation and narco analysis tests, had also complained of police harassment and claimed that false charges were levelled against them.
The tests were completed by 5 in the evening on Friday. It should have taken only three hours for Pandey to recuperate from the trance. Pandey is said to be leaving Bangalore late Friday night when the cameraman are expected to leave the hospital.
Mediapersons from national channels remained in the hospital’s vicinity throughout the narco test and also after that. This is said to be the reason why Pandey didn’t want to be taken out of the hospital.

Srinagar, Nov 22: A lawyer of National Conference president Omar Abdullah on Saturday served a legal notice to Mehbooba Mufti, President People’s Democratic Party, and Tariq Hameed Qarra, ex- MLA Batmaloo, accusing them of “making false, incorrect, and motivated allegations against him.” Omar has asked the PDP leaders to apologise and recant “the defamatory statement” within seven days or face a “suit for damages to the tune of Rs.1 crore.”
On Thursday Qarra at a press conference exhibited photos showing Omar seated beside Swami Dayanand Pandey, a Hindu godman accused of terror blasts in Malegaon. On the same day Omar clarified that the photo was shot at a function in Durga Nag Temple Trust at Sonwar in 2002, where he was a guest in place of his father who was the actual invitee to the function. On Friday Mehbooba again asked Omar and Dr Farooq to “come clean” on the issue.
The notice says, “You have alleged that my client has links and associations with said Swami Dayanand Pandy, who is alleged in Malegaon blast case… You have further alleged that my client has visited his Ashram and had a meeting with him for several hours. You yourself did not believe it nor had any proof of the same or of any connection or association of my client with said Swami, but still you leveled bald and incorrect allegations that my client had a close connection with said Swami. You at the same time wanted it to be probed by the government, which means you are not sure about the correctness of the allegations.”
“You have committed an offence in terms of Section 500 of the RPC and are also liable for damages on the basis of incorrect, bald, unwarranted and unfounded defamatory statements,” the notice said.
The legal notice says that the allegations have affected Omar’s reputation, and they were leveled with“intent to malign the name of my client and his party” when elections are underway.
The notice questions how Mehbooba came to the conclusion that Omar had visited Swami’s Ashram in Haridwar and sought his blessings.
